When it comes to vehicles, more and more countries are trying to increase the adoption of electric cars by consumers. This includes offering tax benefits, subsidies, and more. Now, England is making it mandatory by law, for every newly built house in the country to have an electric car charging port installed.
The country has been trying to get more people into electric vehicles, and has reportedly subsidised the installation of over 100,000 home electric car chargers, or wall boxes as they are reportedly called in the UK.
With this new step, the country’s government is undoubtedly trying to make it easier and more tempting for new car buyers to purchase an electric vehicle rather than a gas-powered car. After all, if you already have a charger installed in your home, you don’t even need to go through the hassle of getting one installed by yourself. That would definitely make more people, especially those on the fence about electric cars, think more seriously about their next car being electric.
