Honor 8X, 8X Max Specs Confirmed Ahead of September 5 Launch

Huaweiis expected to launch theHonor 8Xand 8X Max in China on September 5, and now, just days ahead of their official launch, the latter has been listed on Chinese e-commerce site,VMall, virtually confirming its key tech specs. While there’s no official word on the former just yet, the device (JSN-AL00 / TSN-AL00) was recently certified by Chinese electronics certification agency,TENAA, revealing quite a bit about its key specifications as well.

The Honor 8X is expected to feature a 6.5-inch Full HD+ (2340 × 1080 pixels) 2.5D curved glass display with a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It will reportedly be powered by the Kirin 710 SoC which comes with an octa-core CPU (4x 2.2GHz Cortex-A73 + 4x 1.7Cortex-A53) and an ARM Mali-G51 MP4 GPU. The phone will reportedly be offered in two variants; one with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of expandable storage, and another, with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of expandable storage.

The Honor 8X Max is expected to feature a massive 7.12-inch Full HD+ 2.5D curved-glass display panel with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio and a 2244×1080 pixel resolution. The device will likely be powered by a Snapdragon 636 SoC, and offer the same RAM+Storage options as the Honor 8X. It’s also expected to run Android 8.1 (Oreo) with EMUI 8.2 out-of-the-box and support a hybrid Dual SIM slot.
