Xiaomi Unveils Mi 8 Pro and Mi 8 Lite in China
Sep. 20, 2018Xiaomi has today launched two new smartphones-Mi 8 ProandMi 8 Lite– in China. The Mi 8 Pro is a flagship device which packs top of the line hardware and an under display fingerprint sensor, while the Mi 8 Lite is a mid-range smartphone which offers a sleek design and a dual rear camera setup.

Mi 8 Pro Specifications:
The Mi 8 Pro packs an impressive imaging hardware comprising of a 12MP wide-angle (f/1.8)+12MP telephoto (f/2.4) lens on the rear panel, while the front side houses a 20MP selfie camera which comes with features such as AI portrait, 3D beautification and front HDR among others. The Mi 8 Pro will be available in Sunset Gold, Black and Transparent Titanium color options and starts at 3,199 yuan, however, details about its international availability have not been revealed.
The Mi 8 Lite packs a 12MP(f/1.9)+5MP dual rear camera setup which comes with features such as AI Dual Capture, Portrait Mode and facial recognition among others, while there is a massive 24MP front camera to handle selfies.
Xiaomi Mi 8 Lite Specifications:
The device packs a 3,350mAh battery with support for Quick Charge 3.0 fast charging technology. The Mi 8 Lite comes in Aurora Blue, Sunset Gold and Midnight Black color options and starts at 1,399 yuan for the base variant, with sales expected to kick off on September 25 in China.
